Statistics clarification

I wanted to address some questions that have come in about statistics.

First, we will continue to keep and report statistics by individual location and not by grouping. When we analyze and share these they need to reflect activity at specific locations.

Second, many people have asked about the labels on the columns in the holds section of the statistics template and what should be included under each heading.

PULLED is the loose equivalent of PAGED (the term used in last year’s statistics template). This number should include any items that are pulled to fill holds at other locations throughout the day, including paging list items that are located and sent, shelf check requests that lead to an item being sent to another location, and items that are returned to your location but have holds on them elsewhere.

PROCESSED is fairly similar to RECEIVED. This should include all items that are processed for and placed on the hold shelf at your location. This will primarily be a count of the number of holds received in delivery. However, it should also include any items that are placed on the hold shelf as the result of a shelf check, items returned to your location with holds at your location, and paged items with holds for your location.

Basically, if an item is on hold and is shipped to another location, it should be counted under PULLED. If an item is placed on your hold shelf, it should be counted under PROCESSED.
