Summer Reading Program Week 3

The Reading Never Stops here at Johnson both literally and figuratively! On Saturday June 17th we host our first were People and Pajamas event to help promote literacy and put books into the hands of kids in the Sunny Side Community.  Dr. Monique Wells of the Wells International Foundation had the wonderful idea for this event and thanks to her partnering with the Houston Public Library this event was a major success! Honorary Sunny Side Mayor Sandra Massie-Hines as well as other adults from the community read to all the children that came out to participate in the fun we had. We look forward to all the fun and reading we are going to have a the 2018 People and Pajamas event!
