The new “Inside HPL” Intranet has
launched today. We hope that this new site will prove to be very informative
and helpful in your daily tasks
as well as provide a closer connection
with your fellow HPL team members.
This site is meant to be interactive
and fun. Share your ideas and photos! You can submit them through the HPL Idea
Bank button conventionally located on the homepage. Please use this link to
also provide us your thoughts and feedback on the new site. We are always
striving to improve, and we want this site to be as useful as possible for you!

tour if you have not had a chance. The video gives a quick tour of the
new Intranet’s key, friendly features.
Bookmark Site
If you bookmarked the old web address
on your HPL computer, we recommend you delete your old bookmark and add this
web address -http://houstonlibrary.libguides.com/home.
Don’t forget your headshots!
We are requiring everyone’s headshots
by Friday, February 2. Please submit a headshot to hpl.communications@houstontx.gov
or save it on the G Drive in Folder labeled Intranet/Headshots. Save the photo
file name as: your full name-employee ID number. Have fun with taking your
picture! You can take the photo with your cell phone. Pose with your favorite
book. These pictures are dedicated to the directory only on Inside HPL.
To Access Remotely
If you wish to access the Inside HPL
remotely, please remember to follow these steps:
- Type in houstonlibrary.libapps.com
- Provide your COH email and click on “Reset Password” button;
- Check your COH Outlook email for a message from do-not-reply@libapps.com;
- Click on the “Reset my password” link
- Create your new password. Write it down somewhere safe!
- Then click on “Return to login”.
- Proceed to log in to your account
- Once you’ve logged in, click on the “Public URL” to access the intranet.
