Johnson & Mancuso
Branches
The meeting opened with the
introduction of our new staff member, Ms. Rita Washington, coming from the Heights Branch.
Things discussed were open positions @ both locations and when they may be
filled. Currently, one position @ the Mancuso branch would be a P/T CSC and
Full Time CSC @ Mancuso. Branch Manager LeRoy Robinson expressed team work in
dealing with the shortages until these positions are filled. Dawn McFadden and
several other staff talked about the success of SRP and programs for area
customers. Both branches were stressed to the Max, but were able to bring joy to area
customers. Ms. Iona Joseph presented minutes from the managers meeting at
Central and the key points. She talked about the upcoming MY Link row out and
key circulation items. Mr.Darryl Kiser attended the wrap –up of the Food
Program a Smith Branch. He provided the team with numbers from a successful row
out.
Civic Engagement – Branch Manager LeRoy Robinson talked about the upcoming project and how many community customers on the committee. Both branches will have members attending the September 23, presentation at Central. Upcoming programs included the story times for both branches and the movie night at Johnson. All these programs are being looked at by the team. With the addition of Ms. Washington this will get both branches more time to plan long term events. Branch Manager Mr. Robinson talked about upcoming outreaches to KIPP and other area schools for week. Mr. Robinson talked to the staff about upcoming staff one on one meeting and expectations in October. Several staff members expressed more information about staff changes which I had no answer. I said we are all waiting, but the work still has to be done.
Next meeting is being planned in
October TBA.
