New procedure for Hotspots!

Hi everyone,

I'm pleased to announce a new written procedure for placing Hotspots on hold.  This new procedure will replace the online Hotspot waitlist form the library has been using.  The new instructions demonstrate the correct method for placing a hold on a Hotspot, checking the hold list queue, and instructions on how to place a 30 day suspension for new library users that want to be added to the list.
Remember that patrons will only be notified by Sirsi by phone or email.  It is important that customers provide us with their most up to date contact information to ensure they receive customer hold notifications.

The new instructions will be available at the reference desk computers and through the Johnson blog.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions or comments to make the instructions even better.

Thank you,

Victor

Recent Changes

Please take a moment to explore the links on the blog. The blog has been updated extensively. It is meant to serve as a landing site from which you can find all the links you use on a regular basis. Additionally, Google Chrome on each workstation in the customer service area has been logged into the same account and synced. The bookmarks should be consistent from computer to computer. Most importantly, you will find a bookmark to the updated blog, the daily task schedule, and the hot spot wait-list. All entries on the wait-list should be made here so we are all on the same page.
